A proven hitmaker on both sides of the border, Régulo Caro never fails to dazzle. And on Todo Va a Estar Bien, he touches upon everything regional Mexican fans admire about his work. The album opens with the swaying sadness of “Si el Destino Quiso”, its lovelorn lyrics penned by Joss Favela. Matters of the heart—mostly of the sorrowful or tortured kind—remain the singer’s speciality, as evidenced by the cautionary “Y Llorarás” and the prideful “Amor Tóxico”. Breaking with these themes, he later indulges his alter ego Emilio Garra with “Hace Falta Alfredo”, a rousing narcocorrido romanticising the titular Beltrán-Leyva Cartel figure.
