About Dario Bonuccelli

An Italian pianist, Dario Bonuccelli began studying music with Luciano Lanfranchi at age 4 and made his first public appearance at age 13 in a recital. He debuted as a concerto soloist at 14 with the Chamber Orchestra of Kazakhstan in a performance of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 12. Bonuccelli graduated from the Conservatory of Genoa in 2004 and continued his education with Franco Scala, Andrea Lucchesini, and Pietro de Maria. In 2011, he received his master's degree in performance at the Paganini Conservatory, taking highest honors. Bonuccelli has won numerous competitions, and he has attended master classes with Bruno Canino, Aldo Ciccolini, and Svetlana Navassardjan. He has performed in many countries across Europe and in Japan, playing concertos, chamber music, and solo recitals. He has performed regularly in a duo with Romanian violinist Vlad Maistorovici, and together they have toured Sweden, Italy, Romania, and England. On the bicentennial of Richard Wagner's birth in 2013, Bonuccelli released a double CD of the composer's complete solo piano music on the Dynamic label.
