Never short of a wonderstruck melody, XTC's album tracks don't wander far from the eccentric perfection of their ‘80s singles. While they stretched out into pastoral music hall (“Season Cycle”), ‘60s parodies (“Brainiac's Daughter”) and jittery dub rock (“Punch and Judy”), there's always room for another spangled gem of languid summertime psychedelia (“Then She Appeared”).
