Formed in the early ‘70s, the long-haired South Carolina boys of The Marshall Tucker Band built one of Southern rock's most significant bodies of work. Toy Caldwell's blistering and poignant guitar work on “Can't You See” drives home its desperately lonesome and broken-hearted subject matter, and they stretch the genre's expectations with the smooth and wistful flute found on “Heard It in a Love Song”. And the restless “Searchin' for a Rainbow” turns a folky jaunt into a touching story of lookin' for love.
