Melodic pop and reggaetón street sounds came together for the first time in sweetly bumping tracks by rapper RKM (Jose Nieves) and romantic singer Ken-Y (Kenny Vásquez). The Puerto Rican pair hit the charts in 2006 with the bilingual banger "Down", off their debut album, Masterpiece. They deployed a more tropical flavour on accordion-driven tracks like "Te Regalo Amores" (I Give You Love) from sophomore album The Royalty/La Realeza. The sweet-and-slightly-sour duo broke up in 2013 but reunited in 2017, a reconciliation validated by 2018’s "Zum Zum", a fiery collab with Daddy Yankee.
