New Grass Revival Essentials

The New Grass Revival came busting out of Kentucky the early '70s, a nuclear fusion of bluegrass and rock 'n' roll energy. Mandolinist/fiddler/singer Sam Bush was the constant in a group that included the esteemed likes of Ebo Walker, Curtis Burch, Courtney Johnson, John Cowan and even Bela Fleck. Although they had a devoted fan base and secured a major label deal, the band never really grabbed the brass ring of stardom. Maybe they were a decade or two early for the jamgrass explosion that continues to build on NGR's legacy.
