Inspired by Spoon

Spoon's punchy indie rock has influenced some rollicking tunes. The crashing pop-punk of Ted Leo and the Pharmacists' “Me and Mia” and Rogue Wave's loose, bright “Like I Needed” both owe a debt to Spoon's driving sound. And the Texan band's fondness for pounding rhythms and buzzing synths can be heard on TV on the Radio's jagged “Wolf Like Me” and Wolf Parade's raucous “Shine a Light”.
