Daniel Bélanger's cinematic, richly textured art folk is the seamless sum of disparate inspirations. His impassioned singing style can be traced from Québécois roots rock heroes like Richard Seguin all the way back to ‘50s chanson icon Félix Leclerc. But his songs' brooding ambience owes more to the strung-out glam of David Bowie and stadium goth of Depeche Mode.
