Where that song mingles rustic banjo licks and ghostly electronic melodies, 2022’s “Beat of My Own Drum” flirts with clubby percussion to echo its individualistic lyrical message. But even amidst such production flourishes, Lamb keeps her songwriting remarkably to the point.
