Thai songstress Beau Sunita shot to stardom in 1996 when she was just 21 years old. A schoolgirl who loved singing, she was 18 when she was snapped up by the country's most important record label on the strength of her homemade demo tape—and her debut album Beau went on to sell a million copies. Her follow-up records fared equally well, and she went on to win nearly all of the major music awards in Thailand. Her strong, clear voice presides over rock and pop ballads and catchy choruses, heightened by the simplicity of her delivery, making her pop songs truly memorable.
