The Clarinotts

About The Clarinotts

The Clarinotts are a clarinet trio, formed by father Ernst Ottensamer and his sons, Daniel Ottensamer and Andreas Ottensamer. Already established as virtuoso soloists, Ernst and Daniel are also the principal clarinetists for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, while Andreas is the principal clarinetist with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. The trio was formed in 2005 to play classic repertoire and new pieces and arrangements for the standard B flat and A clarinets, as well as the E flat clarinet, bass clarinet, and the basset horn. The Clarinotts have toured Europe and Asia, and recorded for Gramola and Mercury Classics/Deutsche Grammophon.
