About Scott Sorry

Scott Sorry was an American hard rock musician most prominently known for recording and touring with hard rock and punk bands such as Amen, the Wildhearts, and Brides of Destruction. Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sorry began playing electric and bass guitar at a young age before going on to perform in a number of bands on the Philadelphia gig circuit. The musician made his first major appearance on the alternative scene after joining the raucous punk metal band Amen on bass guitar duties for the group’s Join or Die tour in 2003. In 2005, he joined Nikki Sixx's hard rock ensemble Brides of Destruction, alongside Wildhearts vocalist and future bandmate Ginger Wildheart. Sorry was featured on the band’s second album, Runaway Brides, but before the group was due to promote the record on tour, he was replaced by L.A. Guns member Jeremy Guns. Shortly thereafter, Sorry joined the brand new lineup of the Wildhearts in 2006 and appeared on the group’s eponymous sixth album in early 2007. He went on to appear on the 2008 covers effort, Stop Us if You’ve Heard This One Before, Vol. 1, and 2009’s Chutzpah! and its companion release, Chutzpah! Jnr. Sorry eventually left the Wildhearts in 2012 but later re-joined them for their 2014 U.K. reunion tour. The musician made sure he kept busy firing on all creative cylinders during the interim, forming the band Sorry and the Sinatras with members of Trashlight Vision and Blackbelt. The ensemble went on to record and release their only album, 2009's Highball Roller, which received positive reviews from critics upon its release. Following his time with the Wildhearts, Sorry announced plans in early 2015 for his debut solo record, When We Were Kings, to be released through a Pledge Music Campaign. The guitarist/bassist spent 2015 writing and recording the album. The record was released in early 2016, landing a high spot on the Official U.K. Rock Chart and receiving critical acclaim for Sorry’s honest lyricisms, classic hard rock stylings, and distinct songwriting abilities. ~ Rob Wacey
