About Paul Bell
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Getting my first ever guitar for Christmas - aged five and a half. A half-size nylon strung classical. Before that I'd been playing the table tennis bat or the badminton racquet. It all started from that first guitar. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brooke Fraser, Flags John Mark McMillan, Mercury & Lightning Kacey Musgraves, Golden Hour I'm a sucker for a great song, and these records just really deliver. Great production/sonics too. They seem effortless. I could listen to them over and over. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mend the Cracks With Gold” This is a song of hope in the midst of brokenness. I love the picture of not hiding away from the areas of weakness in our lives, but bringing beauty out of them. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time I had a track played on BBC Radio 2, it was a really special moment... tuned in, huddled by the radio, waiting to hear what the presenter said about it. What an amazing opportunity. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To just keep going, to be able to keep making music is a win. There's the odd collaboration that would be fun though.
