About Marie Van Rhijn

Marie van Rhijn is a French harpsichordist. She began playing music at age seven, and eventually attended the Paris Conservatoire, where she studied harpsichord and continuo with Olivier Baumont and Blandine Rannou. Graduating in 2010, she pursued further studies at the Royal College of Music in London, where she worked with Terence Charlston and Jane Chapman. She has performed internationally, giving recitals in France, the Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, Russia, Austria, and Germany, and she has performed with her own unique ensemble of harpsichord, harp, and violin, Trio Dauphine. She is the harpsichord professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Cergy-Pontoise, and is the vocal coach at the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles. In 2015, she toured for two months with the Baroque period ensemble Les Arts Florissants. She released her first solo album of harpsichord music by Marin Marais on the Evidence label.
