Leandro Fresco

About Leandro Fresco

Buenos Aires native Leandro Fresco released his first album, a set of experimental electronic tracks titled Cápsula, in 1996. Years later, he and Gustavo Cerati forged a long-term creative partnership. Fresco performed as a member of Cerati's backing band, assisted him with recording sessions, and joined Cerati's Soda Stereo for touring purposes. All the while, Fresco released albums such as the uniformly low-key but stylistically diverse Luz Sin Calor (2005), the contemporary pop/rock-oriented Leandro Fresco (2014), and the all-ambient El Reino Invisible (2015). The latest of that series was released by Kompakt, which had previously showcased his ambient side on 12" and on their Pop Ambient compilations. ~ Andy Kellman
