About Kristina Train

Singer/songwriter Kristina Train is a soulful vocalist with a bent toward earthy country- and R&B-inflected pop music. In 1999, she joined the Looters, often backing vocalist Rosa King on tour. At age 19, she attracted the attention of Blue Note. Train decided instead to attend college and spent a few years performing locally while studying at the University of Georgia. Eventually, however, she left school and moved to New York City. Once again, Blue Note pursued her and this time she signed. She relocated to England and began work on material with producer Jimmy Hogarth and songwriters Eg White and Ed Harcourt. In 2009, she released her debut album, Spilt Milk. In 2012, Train paired with Harcourt again for Dark Black. ~ Matt Collar
