About Eleven of Hearts

The Australian band Eleven of Hearts was formed in 1993. Members are flutist and pianist Dee Rogers, vocalist Christene Carol, and Macdonald Hamilton, who plays anything from the electric guitar and keyboards, to the balalaika and banjo. Each member of Eleven of Hearts brings something special to the threesome. Rogers, a gifted and prolific composer, writes the music the group records. Carol traveled internationally before joining the team and earned an acclaimed name for herself in the world of opera. Hamilton has years of experience on a number of instruments. If that were not enough, he also has skills in producing, engineering, and arranging. Eleven of Hearts released a wistful debut album in 1997, Secret Dreams. It was recorded under the BSC Music label ZOMBA. Later that same year, the group finished a second album, One Love. Both of this group's first two albums are fairytale filled with beautiful tunes like "The Summer Sea," "The Siren Calls," "Knight of Love," "The Dragon Sleeps," and "A Breath Away." On this sophomore recording, Eleven of Hearts enlisted the help of a number of other artists, including vocalist, pianist, and violinist. ~ Charlotte Dillon
