About Eleanor Academia

Eleanor Academia began her professional music career as a musical director under Quincy Jones. That was just the start of her association with the greats in the music business. Over the years she has worked with people like Stevie Wonder, Carmine Appice, Jake E. Lee, Thelma Houston, and Diana Ross. Her first world tour was as keyboardist and vocalist for Ray Parker Jr. She played percussion for Cyndi Lauper. After two albums on major labels, Eleanor Academia chose to form her own record label, Black Swan Records. She assembled a stellar band by recruiting Tom Witt (Missing Persons) and John Christ (Danzig). The resulting album, Oracle of the Black Swan, received great reviews. ~ Gary Hill
