About Ed Herbers

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first album I can recall listening to is George Winston's solo piano classic, "December." My mom used to play this at home around the holidays and I have strong feelings of nostalgia about it. I still listen to this album often! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Disasterpeace, FEZ (Original Game Soundtrack) George Winston, December They Might Be Giants, Flood It's tough to summarize in a few words. TMBG is my favorite band and a big reason why I wanted to start writing music. December is an album that I listened to a lot growing up and influenced my style of songwriting. FEZ is just an amazing soundtrack! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Campfire Time” I usually write ambient pieces that are primarily based on synths and electronic sounds. Campfire Time still has the same spirit as my other music, but uses an acoustic ensemble of piano & guitar. I love the sound of the crickets singing along! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Echoes, the long-running ambient radio show hosted by John Diliberto, ranked my album "Migration" in its Top 25 albums of March 2023, and featured songs from it on more than 10 episodes. A really exciting moment for me! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would definitely love to have one of my songs included in the soundtrack to something (film, TV, a video game, etc.)!
