About Carmen Lundy
Carmen Lundy is a world-renowned musical polymath. She is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer (with over 100 songs to her credit -- she even has her own songbook), actor, visual artist, and instructor. She is also the sister of bassist Curtis Lundy. She first garnered attention with a series of highly regarded albums, including 1985's Good Morning Kiss, 1994's Self Portrait, and 2001's This Is Carmen Lundy. She also starred as Billie Holiday in the plays Sophisticated Ladies and They Were All Gardenias. She eventually launched her own Afrasia label, releasing albums like 2007's Come Home, 2012's Changes, and 2017's Code Noir, productions that mixed standards alongside her thoughtful and nuanced original compositions.
