In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I sat on the bench, at my very first piano lesson, legs dangling in the air. My teacher told me to find one key on the piano that sounded the way I felt in that moment. That emotion first approach is still how I relate to music to this day. Tell us why you chose this song. “Monstera” Monstera is about moving away from not only my hometown of Albuquerque, but also one of my very best friends since childhood. I knew moving away to pursue music was what was best for me, but that didn't make it easy. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I really believe that music matters. It is a way for me to process my own feeling and emotions. I want to keep writing and growing and making music that connects with people. Also, I want a Grammy.
