About Alain Johannes

Alain Johannes is a guitarist, singer/songwriter, composer and producer. He and songwriting partner/bassist/wife Natasha Shneider founded Eleven with drummer Jack Irons, issuing a half-dozen albums between 1991 and 2003, including 2000's Avantgardedog. They co-wrote and produced Chris Cornell's Euphoria Morning in 1999, and Johannes wrote, co-produced, and played on Mark Lanegan's Bubblegum in 2004. He has done production, session, and live work with Hifiklub, Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, and PJ Harvey. After Shneider's death in 2008, Johannes emerged from an extended grieving period with Spark. He contributed three songs to Dave Grohl's Sound City: Real to Reel documentary soundtrack. In 2014, he issued the completely solo Fragments and Wholes, Vol. 1. Johannes co-scored Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint in 2019. Johannes issued the solo outing Hum in 2020.
