Tony Stevens teases an upcoming EP with “Whiskey in Colorado”, a poppy ballad about easing homesickness with a stiff drink. Stevens tells Apple Music he and his trio of co-writers (Wes Mack, David Borys, Dan Swinimer) wrote the song about the tension between chasing dreams out on the road and missing out on time at home. “When I'm on the road, there is a lot going on until I am back at wherever I'm staying for the night,” Stevens says. “That's when the duality of missing the people I love and need sets in, and it's hard to shake. From personal experience, all four of us could relate to the sentiment of the song when we were writing it. If you have ever been away from the ones you love, no doubt you can, too.” While details are currently unannounced, Stevens says he plans to release a new EP featuring the tune later this fall.
