The Randy Bandits

About The Randy Bandits

Drawing comparisons to the Barenaked Ladies, Guster, and Wilco, the Brooklyn-based Randy Bandits use a variety of instruments and vocal harmonies in creating their soul, jazz, and country influenced brand of pop/rock. With playwright and lyricist Jim Knable on lead vocals, guitar, and saxophone, Stephen Aleman on vocals and percussion, Spiff Wiegand on vocals, trumpet, banjo, guitar, and accordion, and Chris Murphey on vocals, bass, and guitar, the band released their debut EP, The Woman or the Blues, in 2005. Later that year, drummer Adam Farrell joined the Randy Bandits, and in 2006 their first full-length record, Redbeard, came out on their own Soul Kebab Records. ~ Marisa Brown
