Indie rock band TV Girl blends ’60s French pop, sampled beats, and film dialogue snippets to create melodically rich, collage-like songs. ∙ The group first attracted buzz in 2010 with their song “If You Want It,” which heavily sampled Todd Rundgren’s 1973 Billboard Hot 100 Top 5 hit, “Hello It’s Me.” ∙ They independently released their first three LPs: 2014’s French Exit, 2016’s Who Really Cares, and 2018’s Death of a Party Girl.
