Gotopo

Venezuelan singer, composer, and producer Gotopo started her musical education at the Conservatorio de Barquisimeto and trained with renowned youth orchestra El Sistema, created by the world-famous conductor Gustavo Dudamel. As she came of age, Gotopo moved to Berlin where she sought to develop her own artistic identity by mixing her classical training and the musical traditions of her Afro-indigenous roots with the city's vibrant, multicultural, electronic scene. Having branded her style "ancestral futurism," she began to make waves on the strength of her eye-catching performances, not just in clubs but also at forward-thinking cultural centers such as the Humboldt Forum. Released on Waxploitation in May 2023, her debut EP Sacúdelo featured contributions from like-minded producers such as Don Elektron (Kinky) and Simón Mejía (Bomba Estéreo).
