About Coi Leray
Rapper and singer Coi Leray’s versatile delivery and cool-girl persona have made her a rising star with an impressive list of collaborators. • Born in Boston, Leray grew up in Hackensack, New Jersey. Though her father is rapper-turned-reality-TV-star Benzino, Coi was raised by her mother. • Leray dropped out of high school in 10th grade to help support her mother and five brothers. She worked at bakeries, pizzerias and fast-food restaurants before pursuing music full-time at age 17. • In 2017, she gained widespread recognition for the song “G.A.N. (Goofy Ass N***as)”, a jab at thirsty males. The music video amassed more than 2 million streams. • Leray signed with Republic Records in late 2018. Shortly after, she released her breakthrough streaming hit, “Huddy”. • Coi appeared alongside Ski Mask The Slump God, Jacquees, and LouGotCash on “Save the Day”, from 2018’s Grammy-nominated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack. • Her 2020 EP Now or Never features Fetty Wap and Gunna, among others.
