"Too much" is Ty Segall's whole thing. The California garage rocker is always pushing his songs to the limit, even when making simple but engrossing plucked ballads like "Mr. Face". "Thank God for the Sinners" proves he can never summon enough distortion to fully drown out his melodies, and "Diddy Wah Diddy" shows there's no limit to how many light-speed hooks he can cram into a tight package.
