Though The Hold Steady's Craig Finn might never be at a loss for words, he's also not one to waste a syllable, always making sure that his songs have either a heartbreaking story twist ("First Night"), sage advice ("You Can Make Him Like You") or a vicious punchline ("Killer Parties"). Meanwhile, it's guitarist Tad Kubler's job to keep songs like "Rock Problems" and "Lord, I'm Discouraged" stocked with heroic, classic-rock-worthy riffs.
