Sofiane Essentials

Parisian Sofiane Zermani emerged from the rap underground with his independently-released albums Blacklist (2011) and Blacklist II (2013), consolidating the pummelling beats and brutalising flow that characterises his style. During his journey to the top of France's charts, he tapped into the Zeitgeist with the tropical house track "Tout l'monde s'en fout" and the thumping trap cut "Mistigris". He frequently collaborates with others on songs like the terse, malevolent "Woah" with Vald and Mac Tyler, and the cavernous bass and wheedling 808 drums of "Longue Vie" with Ninho.
