Candidly communist Robert Wyatt expresses politics through cover versions. His gospel harmonising on "Stalin Wasn't Stallin'" updates the Golden Gate Jubilee Quartet's 1943 a cappella original. He rearranged jazz bassist Charlie Haden's "Song for Che" [Guevara] on Ruth Is Stranger Than Richard, and he renders Peter Gabriel's anti-apartheid rock ballad "Biko" with touching intimacy.
