EDITORS’ NOTES

Just about any brand of nastiness can be found in the industrial-rock carnival that is Rob Zombie's Z-movie fantasy. As part of noise-rock pioneers White Zombie, Rob began mixing horror-flick imagery with drilling guitars, clattering mechanical rhythms and kitschy samples to create a sleazy signature sound he kicked into overdrive with 1998's Hellbilly Deluxe. And the crypt keeper's apocalyptic horror show is just camp enough to keep you curious about the sincerity of his pummelling apocalyptic visions like "Dragula" and shout-alongs like "Sick Bubblegum".
