While the start-stop riffs fuelling “The Black Market” are inspired by Josh Homme's arty stoner metal, “The Art of Losing” deploys classic hardcore's furious blitz. Another novel track is “Wait For Me”, which pivots on emo's loud and quiet dynamics.
