Pentagram Essentials

Pentagram Essentials

For many years Pentagram were the most important metal band nobody had ever heard of. Formed in Virginia in 1971, they were one of the first U.S. bands to pick up on the slow, doomy side of Uriah Heep and Black Sabbath. But their lack of business savvy, and eventually singer Bobby Liebling's drug addiction, kept them strictly underground, even after they finally made an album in 1985. But their cult following grew, and finally in 2011 the film Last Days Here shed light on their music and Liebling's struggles. He still leads the band four decades after its inception.
