Nasty C Essentials

Nasty C has earned his status as a new school MC. Breaking out of Durban, South Africa as a teenager, the rapper called himself a “young king” on early hits like “Hell Naw”, and proved his boasts with vivid lyrics and sharp cadences. Rapid success led to tracks with US rap heroes like A$AP Ferg on the hard-thumping, elbow-waving beats of “King”, along with appearances on the soundtracks for Netflix's "Blood and Water" and Amazon's "Coming 2 America". Then there are SA hits like “031”, a homage to the area code of his hometown. “I want all the bread and the spread/Until then, I won't rest”, he rhymes. Nasty C takes pride in being an African rapper, no matter how global his appeal grows.
