With furious blasts of fuzzy noise-punk and mouths brimming with bitterly sarcastic lyrics, Welsh/English indie rock trio Mclusky debuted in 1999 with My Pain and Sadness is More Sad and Painful Than Yours, the first of three studio albums the band released to critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic before calling it a day in 2005. After the group's split, frontman Andy Falkous and drummer Jack Egglestone formed Future of the Left, while bassist John Chapple launched Shooting at Unarmed Men.
