Leftfield Essentials

Leftfield Essentials

Formed in 1989 by producers Neil Barnes and Paul Daley, Leftfield's epic grooves helped to launch the British progressive house movement. Powered by pumping drums, massive basslines and uplifting melodies, their early anthems made them stars on the club scene, but with the release of their genre-bending debut Leftism in 1995, they took progressive house into the mainstream. By the late '90s, the duo had added the boisterous sounds of big beat and acid house to the mix, but whatever style they're exploring, Leftfield push beyond the boundaries of the dance floor.
