Kaiser Chiefs showed up right on time. When the Leeds band released their 2005 debut album, Employment, groups like The Libertines and Franz Ferdinand had whipped the dance-punk/guitar-rock revival into full swing. Taking cues from the pogoing punk of legends like The Jam and The Clash, Kaiser Chiefs won a bevy of fans with their energetic and hugely melodic sound. Raucous, chart-bothering songs like "I Predict a Riot" and "Ruby" helped soundtrack Britain in the 21st century's first decade.
