Jake Choi, star of the film Front Cover and the ABC sitcom Single Parents, made waves when he came out as sexually fluid in 2018. Representing one of the many facets of the LGBTQ+ experience, Choi has used his platform to highlight the experiences of sexual minorities and the plight of LGBTQ+ youth. His Pride playlist reflects his dedication to the cause. “Pride means being brave, resilient, confident, empowered—proud of who you are and who you love in the face of intolerance and hate,” Choi tells Apple Music. “I chose these songs because the artists are either queer, or allies of the LGBTQ+ community, or their songs empower me and others to live openly and honestly.”
