Which is not to say that the prolific de facto leader of Peckham's SN1 (‘Spare No 1') ducks the difficult realities of street life—especially on venomous early cut “Rat-A-Tat-Tat”—but rather that he's able to cultivate ambling, teasing rhyme patterns that feel truly inimitable. Put him aboard a bubbling electro beat (“BABY”) or on a Southern hip hop homage (“Peligro” with Dave) and Giggs always raps with the audible grin of a man loving every minute.
