DJ Quik is one of hip-hop's most overlooked producers. The Compton native helped usher in the G-funk movement of the '90s alongside Dr. Dre, while his melodic production touch has also been behind hits from Snoop Dogg, 2Pac and the R&B trio Tony! Toni! Tone! Based around a slick use of synths, Quik's sound is simply way too funky.
