Blessed with a gorgeous voice and classically trained on piano from an early age, Chantal Kreviazuk appeared on the music scene at the height of Lilith Fair. It seemed that female songwriters were a dime a dozen, but she managed to get on top with her first album, Under These Rocks and Stones, which made her a household name in Canada. Colour Moving and Still followed with the same piano-based dreamy pop. She eventually breached the American market by contributing to a number of popular soundtracks like Dawson's Creek, Providence and, most notably, Armageddon. Her later albums saw her collaborating with her husband, Our Lady Peace frontman Raine Maida, and she also lent her talents to Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne and others.
