Casting Crowns: Influences

Casting Crowns: Influences

Casting Crowns’ ability to soak up new influences has allowed their music to retain a potent freshness. At first, their big anthems struck a balance between the uplifting songcraft of Steven Curtis Chapman (co-producer of their third album) and the crunchy Christian rock of Audio Adrenaline and DC Talk. Eventually, Casting Crowns renewed their style by incorporating the kind of warm, folksy praise and worship associated with the David Crowder Band.
