Bing Crosby: Next Steps

Bing Crosby: Next Steps

Across four decades, Bing Crosby tackled songs of every stripe, finding commercial success with a wide spectrum of approaches. He was equally flexible in his delivery, remaining reverent on “Danny Boy” while adding jumpy jazz colour to “Sweet Georgia Brown”. You can even hear him starting out with the vocal trio The Rhythm Boys on “Mississippi Mud”, one of the first recorded examples of scat singing.
