Celebrated composer and session musician Al Caiola played guitar with legends like Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Holly and Tony Bennett, but it's for his classic melody for the theme song to Bonanza that he's most widely known. Caiola also had an unlikely hit with his theme to The Magnificent Seven, yet his work wasn't limited to westerns. On both his solo albums and film work, the nimble guitarist was as comfortable playing jazz, Hawaiian and country music as he was the pop standards he frequently appeared on.
