In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up, I remember my mum blasting out music from timeless legends like Whitney Huston, Diana Ross and Celine Dion. Their expansive vocals and musicality taught me how to feel and express love. We're Filipino, and we love karaoke - so iykyk! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? India.Arie, SongVersation: Medicine Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Nao, Saturn These projects are balms for open wounds. Their words soothe, their melodies ease and their frequencies elevate even in the darkest of moments. They are my favourite albums because they feel timeless through all seasons. Tell us why you chose this song. “Let Go” ‘Let Go’ is special because it’s one of the first songs I ever wrote from a place of effortless effort. The lyrics continue to resonate, and whenever I perform it live, it feels affirming, meditative and healing. It’s a song from my soul to yours. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being supported by the MOBOs and Help Musicians UK has been one of the highlights of my career so far. As an independent artist, their support has opened so many doors. I can’t wait to share this chapter of music with the world. It’s time. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Definitely. I’m just getting started and there’s a world of possibilities here and ahead.
