In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Singing in a school concert - it was the best, and made me realise I really wanted to do this! I absolutely loved it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Florence + the Machine, Ceremonials Paul Simon, Graceland (25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life Florence combines poetry, power and raw emotion - so much drama! Stevie - seemingly effortless groove, incorporating latin, jazz funk and everything! Graceland uses so many African rhythm and melody ideas - inspiring artists like Vampire Weekend. Tell us why you chose this song. “In the Forest” It came out of wandering about in the woods with a touch of flu - we liked how sound echoes around and you feel you could get lost, and that losing yourself can be part of finding yourself - and Rachel's dreamy harmonies bring that sensation out. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing our songs with a real choir - taking something we'd made in lockdown isolation, played in our band but then having a massed group sing the harmonies was joyous and uplifting! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many things we'd still like to do - more festivals, bringing more artists into our live performances and a load of tracks we've yet to share with anyone - it would be great to record and release them!
