About The Magic Touch
Diane Tyler led this female quartet who had a chorale sound similar to the Andantes. They recorded a few singles on some small upstart labels that never got off the ground. Bill Seabrook managed the group whose first single, "Step into My World" (April 1971) on Black Falcon Records, was the high point of a brief career. It got more radio play and distribution than two follow-ups released five years later in 1976: "A Woman Will Do Wrong" on Falcon Roost and "Let Me Go to the Disco" (Sirco Records). Magic Touch disbanded and was forgotten until Sirco released a live rendition of "Step into My World" in 1987; but with no juice it fail to make an impact. Tyler recorded a couple of solo releases prior to Magic Touch for Jameco Records. Tyler's pre- Magic Touch recordings and others are available on Magic Touch & Friends on Collectables Records. ~ Andrew Hamilton
