About The Feeling

Drawing heavily from the rich harmonies and melodies of '70s soft rock, British quintet the Feeling debuted in 2006 with Twelve Stops and Home which spawned three Top Ten U.K. singles. They had a markedly different approach to their contemporaries, passing on the typical Britpop and post-punk influences in favor of quirky MOR U.K. pop groups such as Supertramp and 10cc. Their sophomore effort, Join with Us, topped the U.K. charts on release in 2008, while its 2011 follow-up, Together We Were Made, featured cameos from Róisín Murphy and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Themed around a relationship breakup, 2013's Boy Cried Wolf, charted moderately in the U.K. while receiving positive reviews. Subsequent long-players from the band -- 2016's The Feeling and 2022's Loss. Hope. Love -- didn't perform as well commercially and so, for the recording of 2024's San Vito, they tried a different formula and de-camped to southern Italy.
