About Tears In X-Ray Eyes

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up in London suburbia in the 1980s, listening to the John Peel show and watching Top Of The Pops... post-punk and new wave music and the rise of independent record labels was so exciting. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Soundgarden, Superunknown Talk Talk, Laughing Stock The Smiths, Hatful of Hollow The Smiths are possibly the greatest British band since The Beatles - lyrically and musically timeless. Talk Talk's later albums forge a unique path between jazz, pop and rock. Finally - I love Nirvana, but for me Soundgarden defined the grunge era. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “One by One” When I walked off the stage of London’s 12-Bar Club in October 2003, I needed a break. After 4 albums / EPs, it was time to take stock, lie low, consider my next move. I never imagined it'd be 20 years... One By One is the song that brought me back. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2000 I toured Europe's summer festivals playing on bills with Lou Reed, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth, Elliott Smith and Coldplay... good times. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? More than anything, I want to continue taking things out of my head and making them into audio waves... finding an audience for new sounds and songs. And I'd love to play Glastonbury again!
